Kansas City Chiefs cut one cornerback to sign another

It was reported earlier that the Kansas City Chiefs signed former Fort Scott CC and Kansas DB Kevin Short. Now we know was cut to make room for him on the 90-man roster.

Penny tried out for the Chiefs in June and then was later signed by the team for the rest of OTAs. He was likely a long shot to make the roster anyway.

The next time we'll see new Chief Kevin Short in action will be training camp.
