Kansas City Chiefs draft pick signings will be coming in soon

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Within a few days of last year's NFL Draft ending, the Kansas City Chiefs started signing their draft picks. I suspect we'll see similar timing this year which means you shouldn't be surprised to see some of the Chiefs draft picks agree to contracts as soon as this week.

No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston has reportedly already signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which shows you how easy these post-2011 CBA contracts are to complete.

The Chiefs first round pick, Washington CB Marcus Peters, is expected to sign a four-year deal worth about $8.6 million, according to Over The Cap. That first year cap number will be just under $1.6 million. Read the details of Peters' expected contract here.

Now for the rest of the contracts. Here's what each played drafted in the same spot last year received. You can expect similar contracts for the Chiefs picks at these positions. Here's a list of the Chiefs 2015 draft picks.

49. Jets TE Jace Amaro: 4-year, $4.29M

76. Lions C Travis Swanson: 4-year, $2.96M

98. Packers TE Richard Rodgers: 4-year, $2.76M

118. Steelers WR Martavis Bryant: 4-year, $2.72M

172. Seahawks DT Jimmy Staten: 4-year, $2.38

173. Giants LB Devon Kennard: 4-year, $2.37M

217. Washington TE Ted Bolser: 4-year, $2.29M

231. Cowboys DE Ben Gardner: 4-year, $2.27M
