Kansas City Chiefs promote Chris Ballard to director of football operations

The time after the NFL Draft is when teams reshuffle their front office if need be and the Kansas City Chiefs have done just that. Per a release from the Chiefs, five members of the front office have been promoted.

New position (previous position)

Chris Ballard - Director of football operations (director of player personnel)

Mike Borgonzi - Co-director of player personnel (asst. director of pro scouting)

Brett Veach - Co-director of player personnel (pro and college personnel analyst)

Ryne Nutt - Southeast area scout (northeast area scout)

Matt Donahoe - Northeast area scout (national scout)

The name we recognize here is Chris Ballard. He has reportedly been a candidate for other GM jobs but so far has stayed with the Chiefs. At some point I would imagine the right opportunity is going to come up for him.
