Da'Rick Rogers' uphill climb for Chiefs roster spot gets a little harder

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Even on a team like the Kansas City Chiefs, who didn't have a receiver touchdown last year, it's hard to go nearly a full season without playing football and getting back to it like WR Da'Rick Rogers is attempting to do. His uphill battle to make the Chiefs roster just got a little tougher with news on Monday that he was sentenced in a September 2014 DUI case. This according to WISH TV in Indianapolis.

The Colts cut him shortly after that arrest. Rogers didn't join another team until the Chiefs came calling in January. Like the situation with Sean Smith, we'll have to wait and see what the league's official ruling is on a possible suspension but it's something to consider when filling out your 53-man roster.
