Chiefs strike a deal with Steven Nelson, one draft pick remains unsigned

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

And then there was one. [Update: I mean none. Marcus Peters has now signed.]

The Friday transaction wire showed that the Kansas City Chiefs signed third round pick CB Steven Nelson out of Oregon State. The details on his contract, per Aaron Wilson:

This leaves just one Chiefs draft pick not under contract: first round pick CB Marcus Peters.

There's nothing to worry about here. His deal will get done. The 2011 CBA made the signing of draft picks essentially a non-story so it's only a matter of time until he's in the fold.

The Chiefs start rookie minicamp on Saturday.
