Chiefs remaining needs: 'There are some WRs still there,' John Dorsey says

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Cornerback was on the list of the Kansas City Chiefs 2015 NFL Draft needs for most people and the Chiefs hit on that with their first round pick of Washington CB Marcus Peters. Now we move onto the rest of the needs.

Because the Chiefs receivers didn't catch a touchdown pass last year, that's a position folks will be pointing to in the second and third round. The Chiefs signed Jeremy Maclin to a free agent deal but there is an argument that they need more help there.

Chiefs GM John Dorsey was asked about six receivers going off the board in the first round of the draft on Thursday night.

"Actually we were just talking about that upstairs," Dorsey said on Thursday night, "and I was looking at the list of receivers, I'm going ‘Hmm. There are some receivers still there.'"

Indeed there are some receivers there. From Dorial Green-Beckham to Jaelen Strong, there are some good receivers remaining.

Receiver isn't the Chiefs only remaining need. The Chiefs could use another defensive end to prepare for Mike DeVito and Jaye Howard entering the final year of their contracts. Over at right tackle, the Chiefs have two players hitting free agency next year in Jeff Allen and Donald Stephenson. The Chiefs could also use a tight end such as Maxx Williams or Clive Walford to pair with Travis Kelce. Additionally, I could see the Chiefs addressing inside linebacker where Derrick Johnson is 32 coming off an Achilles injury. I haven't even mentioned center, which is a position many had the Chiefs addressing in the first round.

What other needs are there for the Chiefs?
