Green, a former NFL cornerback, is also being honored by the team this fall during alumni weekend when he is inducted as the 45th player in the Chiefs Hall of Fame. The announcement of Green's induction was made by Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt in early March.
Green was the team's first round draft pick, 10th overall, in the 1977 NFL Draft. He started 10 games as a rookie and intercepted three passes to earn the team's rookie of the year award. In 100 career games with the team, he intercepted 24 passes. He was a four-time Pro Bowler and five-time All Pro.
Brown was also a stellar special teams performer, with two career blocked punts. He was a team captain for five of his seven years with the team.
