The re-tooled Kansas City Chiefs offensive line will face a major test right off the bat. The Chiefs 2015 schedule has them visiting the Houston Texans in Week 1. That means the Chiefs offensive line will face JJ Watt, Jadeveon Clowney and Vince Wilfork.
Uhh ... that seems like a problem. Or at least a great test.
I lean towards the great test at the moment because it's April and optimism is very high at this time of year. The Chiefs will have as many as four new starters on the offensive line, with Eric Fisher potentially being the only holdover. We won't have much of an idea of how good they are until they actually get on the field.
It's hard to tell if the Chiefs offensive line will be better than it was last year. On paper, it should be, right? They added Ben Grubbs which is a major upgrade over Mike McGlynn but they also lost Rodney Hudson. Right guard has yet to shake out and the same can be said for right tackle where Donald Stephenson and Jeff Allen will be among those competing.
I'm hoping the offensive line is better. Week 1 will be a good test right off the bat.
