Kansas City Chiefs (offseason) football starts one week from today

New, comments

Doesn't it seem like the football season just ended?

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs will be convening at Arrowhead Stadium a week from today when the offseason program begins. Starting on a holiday of sorts, the start of the Chiefs offseason program begins on Monday, April 20.

The Chiefs won't be doing any real practices for a while but the team will start the conditioning program of their offseason. This is not required but historically almost every player attends. One player I'm not so sure about is Justin Houston, who has an unsigned franchise tag.

The Chiefs will make Andy Reid, Alex Smith and other players available to the media so we will hear some updates. Toss any questions you have for Big Red into the comments below and I'll try to ask.

First day: April 20

Rookie minicamp: May 16-18

OTAs: May 26-28, June 2-4, June 9-12

Mandatory minicamp: June 16-18

This post has a little more detail about the Chiefs offseason program.
