Tamba Hali: 'The Chiefs are a serious contender and I want to be part of that'

Tamba Hali is going to go down as an all-time Chief. Not only for his play on the field but for the way this entire offseason has unfolded resulting in the news that he has re-done his contract to stay in Kansas City this year. I can tell you from all the messages we've received on Twitter and from readers, the love for Tamba is strong from Chiefs fans.

I have so many people to thank for the opportunity I've been given to stay in the red and yellow. I was willing to do whatever it took to stay a Chief ... to play in the best stadium alongside the best teammates and to play for the best fans in the NFL. The Chiefs are a serious contender and I want to be part of it. I want to especially thank the entire Chiefs organization from top to bottom along with the Hunt family.
