Ndamukong Suh just became a very, very rich man with his 6-year, $114 million deal with the Miami Dolphins. Justin Houston will eventually be a very, very rich man as well.
Suh's deal with the Dolphins is set to be completed on Tuesday, March 10, according to ESPN. That's an average of $18 million per year. Houston has been franchise tagged so the Chiefs can control his rights in 2015. At some point though, Houston is going to need to get paid. And get paid like Suh.
Houston is 26 years old coming off one of the greatest statistical seasons a pass rusher has ever had. That sounds to me like someone who could legitimately ask to be the NFL's highest paid defensive player. He may not get it but that case can and should be made his agent.
So if Suh is worth that much, how much is Justin Houston worth?
Don't be surprised if Justin Houston's agent raises contract demands because of Suh's deal.

Justin Houston's price just went up. MT @mortreport Suh will sign with #Dolphins. Parameters around $114M and $60M guaranteed, per sources.

I keep reading that justin Houston is mad about getting tagged. After watching what Suh got paid he should be in a lot better mood. Patience

Houston won't get more than Suh because he's not truly a free agent, but the price just went up.

First, you take Albert from us @MiamiDolphins. Now, you give Suh a zillion dollars and allow Houston's agent to fondle us. #Chiefs #Dolphins

If Suh gets 114 then what is Justin Houston worth?

.@correyjoel said this March 6: "It would be in Kansas City's best interest to sign Houston before Ndamukong Suh gets his blockbuster deal."
