2015 NFL mock draft: Kansas City Chiefs could pick just about any position

O-line? D-line? Linebacker? Safety? Receiver? It's all in play for the Chiefs.

Now that the Kansas City Chiefs signed WR Jeremy Maclin you can no longer easily plug in a receiver for the Chiefs in your 2015 NFL mock drafts. Receiver is still a need but it's no longer the slam dunk in the first round that many of us thought it was before Maclin came along.

SB Nation's Dan Kadar released his latest 2015 NFL mock draft and he went back to the o-line for the Chiefs, choosing Stanford OT Andrus Peat.

A player like Peat obviously isn't going to fill the hole left by the departure of center Rodney Hudson, but he would be an upgrade at right tackle for the Chiefs. Peat could push for the job on the left side if Eric Fisher falters.

I keep trying to go back to the strategy GM John Dorsey has employed in the last two drafts. He drafted Eric Fisher to replace Branden Albert. He drafted Dee Ford to (eventually) replace Tamba Hali. So I could see the Chiefs drafting an offensive tackle because Donald Stephenson and Jeff Allen (maybe a right tackle?) are entering the final years of their contracts. They will need to be replaced. I could also see inside linebacker under this strategy as a replacement for Derrick Johnson. Or even cornerback to prepare for Sean Smith's departure.

In fact, I can see just about every position being in play for the Chiefs entering the draft.

Offensive lineman: Guard seems unlikely with the Ben Grubbs trade and Paul Fanaika signing but Andy Reid says he'll play the best five so the offensive line is a need. Also, who is playing right tackle next season?

Wide receiver: Dwayne Bowe, Donnie Avery and AJ Jenkins, who all had a run as the No. 1 or No. 2 receiver last season, have been cut in the past month. It's still a need.

Tight end: Seemed kinda crazy at first but I could get into another tight end to pair with Travis Kelce after Anthony Fasano was cut.

Outside linebacker: This should probably be under technically possible but unlikely. Pass rushers are important enough I'll just leave it here.

Inside linebacker: Picking Derrick Johnson's replacement.

Defensive lineman: Never count out a lineman for Andy Reid.

Safety: Husain Abdullah and Tyvon Branch have one year left on their contracts.

Cornerback: Sean Smith is entering the final year of his contract.

These positions are tough to see happening even under unlikely scenarios. If they draft a punter, I will riot.

Quarterback: I mean, what if Marcus Mariota falls? It's possible, I guess.

Running back: Ever heard of Jamaal Charles? Also, too early for a running back.

Center: Not in the first round.

Kicker: The Chiefs won't get Raider'd and draft a kicker in the first.

Punter: This would anger me.
