Jeremy Maclin's new contract has a cap hit of $3.4 million in 2015

The details on Jeremy Maclin's 5-year, $55 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs are out.

The first year will carry just a $3.4 million cap hit, which is good news for this year's cap. After that it moves to over $12 million each year. Dwayne Bowe had a similar contract and his first year cap hit was $4 million so I figured the Chiefs could keep that number low this year with Maclin's deal.
