File this under free agency can be confusing.
The Tennesseean reported that the Titans were likely to land safety Da'Norris Searcy, who spent the last four seasons in Buffalo.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport even had numbers behind the deal.
The expected numbers for Da'Norris Searcy, who appears headed to the #Titans: 4 years, $24M with $10.5M guaranteed. Still finalizing.

BUT (there's always a but) ...
Source: I'm told Da'Norris Searcy's camp is "still in active talks with the Chiefs and the Bears along with the Titans at this hour."

So there's that. As the Chiefs learned last year with Emmanuel Sanders, the deal isn't done until it's signed. And this one apparently isn't signed.
The timing of this is interesting because the Chiefs announced earlier today that they had signed free agent safety and former Oakland Raider Tyvon Branch. The Chiefs have two safeties set to hit free agency: Ron Parker and Kurt Coleman.
UPDATE: Now it's done.
Former Bills S Da'Norris Searcy to the Titans is a done deal, source says.
