The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly releasing veteran TE Anthony Fasano, who signed a four-year contract with the team two years ago. It was that same year that the Chiefs drafted Travis Kelce to eventually replace him. That has now come. Chiefs fans reacted to the decision to release Fasano and while everyone seemed to recognize that it was a necessary move given the salary cap situation, it's clear Fasano will be missed by plenty.
Before we get to the reactions, check out this all-time butt touchdown from Fasano.
I'll miss Fasano. Was a decent player. Reliable.

I could see more competition RT @riso302000 does this mean that Demetrius Harris gets on the field, or are we looking at adding another TE?

With Anthony Fasano cut, bigger role likely for Travis Kelce. Kelce was 2nd of all tight ends with 2.26 yards per route run (behind Gronk)

So many people are telling me Fasano is "slow"...ok...he's also "open"

@SullyFootball Not everyone can be a playmaker. You need chain movers, and that's exactly what Fasano is.

Shouldn't be a surprise about Fasano. 2 years ago we all agreed Kelce was drafted to replace him. #chiefs #chiefskingdom

I get Chiefs fans' elation for more Kelce opportunities.... But did I make up Fasano being a solid TE?
