This is how hard Kansas City Chiefs schedule will be next season

Who the Chiefs play and how hard that schedule will be.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

We talked about the Kansas City Chiefs 2015 strength of schedule shortly after the season ended but for it's making the rounds again this week. (It's the offseason for another eight months -- we'll milk this for as much as it's worth.)

The Chiefs strength of schedule next season is seventh in the NFL. They will play a league-high 11 quality opponents (nine or more wins) next season. That's largely due to the Chiefs playing the AFC North this season which had three teams with more than nine wins.

Strength of schedule at this point means very little because there's a 100 percent chance that a team that was good last year will be bad and a team that was bad last year will be good. That's the way the NFL has worked to design the game, so that everyone has a shot each year. It works out pretty well.

The Chiefs schedule looks hard now. It may be much harder -- or much easier -- next season.
