Chiefs' Clark Hunt says Ed Sabol changed the way we watch the NFL

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Ed Sabol, the founder of NFL Films, passed away on Monday at age 98. Many of the best highlight films throughout NFL history come from NFL Films. Even if you don't realize it, you've probably seen a lot of them.

Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt issued a statement on the death of Sabol.

"We are saddened by the loss of Ed Sabol - an innovator, a visionary and a man of character," Hunt said in the statement.

"As fans, Ed's camera lens was our window to the theatre of pro football, and his creativity changed the way we watch America's Game. The memories that Ed and his son Steve created will last forever. Ed will be greatly missed by our family and the entire National Football League."

Sabol's son Steve, who founded NFL Films with his father, passed away in 2012.

This is a very cool story on the connection between the Chiefs and the Sabols.
