Chiefs' Tyvon Branch named AFC defensive player of the week

With the Kansas City Chiefs nursing a six-point lead against the Oakland Raiders, Tyvon Branch picked off a tipped Raiders pass and returned it all the way for a touchdown to seal up the win for the Chiefs. The Chiefs were without Husain Abdullah so Branch was forced into a larger role.

For that, the NFL has named Tyvon Branch the AFC defensive player of the week.

Branch spent seven seasons with the Raiders before joining the Chiefs this year. It's fitting that he wins this award.

It also led to the picture above, one of the best in recent Chiefs memory.
