Kansas City is just a few weeks removed from a 33-3 drubbing of the Chargers in San Diego. After winning six in a row, the Chiefs should win this game. They're the better team and they have more to play for than the Chargers, who are 3-9 on the season.
The Chiefs need to keep winning because, while they have a nice spot in the AFC playoff picture, they haven't wrapped up anything yet. Good teams beat bad teams, and the Chiefs are a good team and the Chargers are a bad team.
KC's defense is what should be the key here. They continue to play really well. They gave up 20 points to the Raiders but stepped up at the best possible time and intercepted Derek Carr three times in the fourth quarter. Philip Rivers is probably a better quarterback but he doesn't have near the weapons that the Raiders had.
Everything on paper points to a Chiefs win. But this is the NFL and we know what can happen.
