Good guy Travis Kelce named community MVP by the NFLPA

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is a star on the field, and off of it, too. The Chiefs third-year player took two dozen kids from the Boys and Girls Club to JC Penney and gave them each a $100 gift card to spend for Christmas.

For that and many other things he's done (like hitting the quan), the NFLPA named him their Week 13 community MVP. We don't recognize the stuff that players like Kelce are doing each week enough so I'm glad this is out there.

Read a description of Kelce's event here.

I found this quote about his teammates interesting:

"My teammates are awesome when it comes to charity," Kelce said. "Derrick Johnson has been here a long time and is always out in the community. Dustin Colquitt who I kind of model what I do in the off-season and in the community after. Chase Daniel is another good example."

"They are guys of good character that you enjoy being around and that you consider your friends. They have shown me how it's really supposed to be done."
