It's time to go ahead and confirm that the best defensive rookie this year is Kansas City Chiefs CB Marcus Peters. He should be your pick for the defensive rookie of the year after his eighth pick of the season against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Marcus Peters is for real. https://t.co/QFJuvebQYO

That ties the Chiefs rookie record and it ties the NFL lead. Peters was 98 yards ahead of the next closest player in interception yards before his 46-yard interception return on Sunday. We know how athletic and aggressive he was when he came into the league but I didn't know he would be so football smart. He's looking like one of the best picks in recent memory.
He is a special player and looks like the front runner for the defensive rookie of the year award.

That's Peters' 8th INT of the season, which ties a #Chiefs franchise rookie record.
