Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware was active in the win over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday but he did not play with bruised ribs he suffered the week before. Per Chiefs coach Andy Reid, Ware should be good to go this week against the Cleveland Browns.
"I think he'll be ready to go this week, yeah," Reid told reporters on Monday, via quotes from the Chiefs.
Ware suffered the rib injury the week before against the san Diego Chargers. It was reported that he was in a lot of pain and that the Chiefs would only play him against the Ravens if they had to. The Chiefs ended up winning by 20 points so they didn't have to.
Charcandrick West has been receiving the majority of the snaps even when Ware has been healthy but the Chiefs offense was at its best when both West and Ware were running the ball. Ware is more of a run-over-you type of back than West so their styles complement each other.
If the Chiefs beat the Browns as bad as the NFL odds say they will, expect plenty of West and Ware in the second half.
