NFL odds Week 16: Chiefs are massive favorites over the Browns

And you thought the Kansas City Chiefs being a 7-point road favorite over the Ravens was a big line. According to the Week 16 NFL odds, the Chiefs are a whopping 14-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium next week. The Seattle Seahawks are also 14-point favorites over the St. Louis Rams this week which represents the two biggest lines of the week.

The Chiefs are clearly the better team and they're playing at home so there's no surprise at all that they're favored. It also shouldn't be a surprise that the line is so big because the Chiefs have been averaging double digit margin of victories during their eight game winning streak, including last week's 20-point win over the Ravens.

The other reason it's a big line is that the Chiefs have something to play for the and the Browns do not. The Chiefs can clinch a playoff spot next week with a win over the Browns and either a Steelers or Jets loss. A Chiefs win and a Broncos loss also puts Kansas City one step closer to winning the AFC West.

While the Browns don't have any playoffs to play for, Johnny Manziel is starting and he very much has something to play for. He wants to be the Browns starter next year and a good performance down the stretch would help him out in that regard.

Double digit underdogs don't win very often. I wouldn't expect to see that happen at Arrowhead this weekend.
