Each NFL team has a nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year and Eric Berry is the pick for the Kansas City Chiefs. The NFL has created hashtags for each nominee and the hashtag that is used the most by December 31 will receive $20,000 for the charity of their choice.
Berry has had a lot of support for this, including locally from Sporting KC and the world champion Royals.
While they are supporting Berry, this is what he was doing this week: "On Tuesday, Berry personally delivered approximately $3,500 in cash, $550 in gift cards, $400 in gift bags and $14,000 in toys to Children's Mercy Hospital."
The choice here is easy. Berry needs to be the man of the year.
