Considering the Baltimore Ravens just signed Ryan Mallett, I'm not surprised the Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites in the game this weekend. The Week 15 NFL odds have the Chiefs as a 7-point favorite over Baltimore. One outlet has the Chiefs as high as a 9-point favorite over the Ravens, who are 4-9 on the season. The over / under on points scored in the game is 42.
The Chiefs are generally pretty good about beating up on bad quarterbacks and the Ravens look like they are going to have a bad quarterback situation in this game. Joe Flacco is already on IR with a torn ACL. Matt Schaub was the next man up but he is working on coming back from chest and shoulder injuries suffered a week ago. After Schaub the baton went to Jimmy Clausen who put up a respectable stat line but couldn't put the Ravens in the end zone in a 35-6 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
It's unclear if it will be Schaub, Clausen or even Mallett this weekend against the Chiefs. That sentence alone bodes well for the Chiefs, who have arguably the NFL's best defense. What doesn't bode well is that most of the Ravens other losses are by just one score. Baltimore can play you tight, they just can't close it out. Those teams can be dangerous.
