Alex Smith's INT streak ends at 312 attempts, second place in NFL history

Alex Smith moved into second place with his streak of passing attempts without an interception. He also saw it end on Sunday against the Chargers at 312 attempts. Tom Brady holds the NFL record at 358 attempts.

The play before it happened, Alex recognized the Chargers jumping offsides and went deep to Albert Wilson which was complete. The very next play, Alex went deep to Jeremy Maclin down the sideline. The ball was underthrown and Maclin couldn't get in front of it when Jason Verrett picked it off.

It was his first interception since September 28.

Theory time: Alex started wearing gloves in this game. Clearly, THE GLOVES CAUSED THE INTERCEPTION.
