Eric Berry will be honored by Tennessee while his younger brother is on pace to break Dale Carter's records

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It's the bye week so many of the Kansas City Chiefs players are heading back to their college towns to catch a game. Not many of those players will be honored by their school like Eric Berry is at Tennessee this weekend.

Berry is an inspiration to so many people that this will be awesome. This quote from Berry's younger brother in the Knoxville News-Sentinel is just amazing:

"I really just looked at him as my big brother, just knowing him all my life as just regular old Eric," Evan said. " ... I looked at him just as a big brother up until that point. Just knowing how he handled cancer, now I look at him as a superhuman. ... It's kinda motivated me to just live every day happy. Don't take anything for granted."

The last Tennessee game I know of that Berry was at his younger brother returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Tennessee hosts South Carolina this weekend.

And how about this for a KC connection: Berry's younger brother, Evan, is on pace to top the Tennessee kickoff return record held by .... Dale Carter.
