NFL playoff picture: Buffalo Bills looking at Kansas City Chiefs as a playoff game

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs are right in the AFC playoff picture and so are the Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs currently hold the final AFC Wild Card spot while the Bills are tied with the Chiefs but just out of the playoff picture due to tiebreakers.

If yo take a look at the playoff picture, you know this Bills-Chiefs game is HUGE. It's the biggest game of the week when it comes to the playoff picture. There will be a major swing for one of these teams.

"We got to beat these guys because it is a playoff game, basically," Bills CB Stephon Gilmore said, per the Buffalo News. "Our record is the same, so it is a must-win for us."

It's not truly a must-win because either team can lose this game and still come back but obviously that would just make things more difficult.

The Chiefs are sitting nicely in the playoff picture and that's because of their tiebreakers. They own the tiebreaker over the Steelers, who own the first Wild Card spot. They also own the tiebreaker over the 5-5 Texans after beating them in Week 1. The Jets are 5-5 as well but the Chiefs have two fewer conference losses than them so they hold that tiebreaker.
