Few games are as pivotal to the overall playoff picture in Week 12 as the Buffalo Bills visiting the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams are 5-5, but the momentum clearly belongs to the Chiefs if you look at the predictions from most NFL experts. Our own staff at Arrowhead Pride agree, but we admit there might be a bit of bias at work here. Anyway, on to the predictions.
Joel Thorman: Chiefs 19, Bills 16
Chiefs win a tough defensive battle. These teams aren't that different.
Matt Conner: Chiefs 15, Bills 13
The Bills will play a physical game for a full 60 minutes, no doubt. Even with injuries, I still see this as a close one. The Bills, however, are reeling a bit too much from a short and tough week, and the Chiefs are coming together in myriad ways each and every week. Also, Cairo Santos will have another big game.
MNChiefsfan: Chiefs 24, Bills 13
If the Bills defense were at full strength, I'd be more worried. But Dareus is hobbled, Mario Williams is out, and Mike Williams is out. Considering Buffalo derives it's strength from having arguably the best defensive line in the NFL, not having multiple players on said line is huge.
Tyrod Taylor is a pretty decent quarterback, and he concerns me. But the Chiefs defense has been playing ridiculously well. I don't anticipate them allowing themselves to be gashed via the running game like Buffalo has managed in the past. And I don't think what we saw from Spencer Ware in limited action was a fluke. The Chiefs are boiling lava hot right now, and I think it's LITTLE too early for them to let us all down in horrific fashion.
Clay Wendler: Chiefs 20, Bills 13
The Bills simply have too many injuries to compete with a hot Chiefs team. They're also playing their third straight road game, which is never an easy task in the NFL. Tyrod Taylor's first start at Arrowhead Stadium isn't going to be pretty.
Stagdsp: Chiefs 35, Bills 17
Big game this week for playoff position. Man, I can't believe we are talking about playoffs, I remember when we worried they wouldn't win another game. Playoffs? Playoffs?
Hopefully the team recognizes the opportunity in front of them, but doesn't get caught up in it. Just do what got you in this position. Play great D, win the turnover and field position battles, and beat a team you should beat.
