Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin was drilled by San Diego Chargers DB Jahleel Addae last week and it looked like a dirty hit because Maclin was defenseless and Addae went high. And because Addae has a history of making questionable hits like that. It sounds like the NFL agrees it was dirty because they fined Addae $23k for the hit.
Chargers safety Jahleel Addae fined $23,152 for unnecessary roughness as result of hit on Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin, per league spokesman.

It looked like Maclin would be out of the game but he ended up coming back and returning punts because De'Anthony Thomas was out .... due to a hit from Addae, who was not fined for that one.
