Chiefs-Chargers flexed out of Sunday Night Football in Week 11

Two straight wins wasn't enough for the Kansas City Chiefs to keep their only remaining primetime game. The NFL announced today that the Chiefs Week 11 matchup with the San Diego Chargers has been flexed OUT of the Sunday Night Football spot.

The game will be played at 3:05 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) in San Diego.

This is unfortunate news for the Chiefs because they won't be playing in primetime. But it's also expected because the Chiefs are 3-5 while the Chargers are 2-6.

The NFL announced that the Bengals-Cardinals game will take its place in primetime in Week 11.

The NFL started this flex scheduling a few years ago to ensure the best matchups late in the season. When the schedule was made the NFL schedule makers probably thought the Chiefs and Chargers would be better teams and that it would be a good matchup. It looks like they were wrong.

Week 11 is the first week that flex scheduling comes into effect.
