Missouri football head coach Gary Pinkel is retiring due to heath reasons, which has caused a bit of a stir in the Chiefs locker room because there are a number of Mizzou players who are now Chiefs, including WR Jeremy Maclin.
Pinkel has been in Columbia since 2001. It's a big story that he's leaving, especially with everything else going on this week. Maclin posted a picture of him and Pinkel with a caption quoting Eric Berry.
Thank you! Thank you for being there on and off the field! As my teammate and brother EB says: "Fear Nothing, Attack Everything"
So hard to think about another man being the head football coach and leader for Mizzou football. Everybody can talk but not everybody...

Chiefs QB Chase Daniel, also a former Mizzou player, posted a few tweets about Pinkel.
Can't even begin to express all emotions that I'm going through right now. Coach Pinkel was a father figure to me....I know he will fight!!

He taught me so much more than just the game of football. Truly one of my mentors both on & off the field. He really lives 4 his players.
