Seven FGs not enough for Chiefs kicker to win special teams player of the week

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

You would think a franchise record seven field goals - one off from the NFL record - would be enough to secure the AFC's special teams player of the week award. You thought wrong.

The Kansas City Chiefs' Cairo Santos was not the Week 4 special teams player of the week despite his seven field goals, including two from 50-plus yards out. The honor went to Ravens kicker Justin Tucker.

Tucker hit three field goals, including the game winner against the Steelers.

I guess they want you to win your game to win this award.
