The Kansas City Chiefs will "host" the Detroit Lions on Sunday at Wembley Stadium for the NFL's International Series. The current NFL odds say the 2-5 Chiefs are favorites over the 1-6 Lions, who have been arguably more disappointing than the Chiefs.
The Chiefs arrived in London on Friday morning while the Lions arrived earlier in the week. It's debatable if there is an advantage either way whether you show up early or late. It was a nine-hour flight for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs are coming off a win over the Steelers and while their playoff hopes are on life support they're not done yet. The Chiefs schedule lightens up in the second half of the season and they're hoping they can pick up a win here and head into the bye at 3-5.
The Chiefs have a few notable injuries, including G Ben Grubbs, DE Mike DeVito and LB Ramik Wilson, all of whom will not play on Sunday. The injury to Grubbs is especially concerning considering how well the Chiefs offensive line played last week. It's not clear yet who will be replacing Grubbs at left guard because he has played every game this season.
The Lions have the 29th ranked offense and the 29th ranked defense. The Chiefs SHOULD be able to score on that defense and they SHOULD be able to pressure Matthew Stafford in the pocket. I am predicting a Chiefs WIN because they are the better team here but we really have no idea which Chiefs team will show up. It's been such an up and down season that it's difficult to predict. All but one ESPN expert is picking the Chiefs to win (damn you, Mike Golic!) so you can see how the experts feel about this game.
