I asked Andy Reid after the game on Sunday if the Kansas City Chiefs would be sticking with their "new" offensive line next week against the Detroit Lions and he said that he would have to look at the tape.
A day later Reid has looked at the tape, and he liked what he saw.
"I thought the offensive line did a pretty good job," Reid said.
The Chiefs line wasn't perfect. They still allowed pressure, Smith was still hit a few times and sacked twice. But they were most definitely better than last week
"The thing I saw, and again, it wasn't all pretty, but the effort there was - and the ability to set a tempo, I thought was raised from what it was before. And I've said this from day one: that's where it starts on the offensive side. I liked the way the guys handled themselves. Are there things we can get better at? Yeah, we've got to keep improving there, but the effort definitely was there."
Reid said that there's a pretty good chance the Chiefs will stick with this group heading into next week's game against the Detroit Lions.
