Jamaal Charles undergoes his surgery

I'm not sure when exactly it went down but it appears Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles has had his surgery for his torn ACL. Jamaal posted the picture below on Instagram on Tuesday night.

The caption reads: Surgery went well & now the road to recovery begins. Thank you for all the prayers!

He is already on injured reserve and out for the 2015 season. Barring any setbacks I suspect we should see him on the field as early as next spring when the Chiefs open their offseason program. Derrick Johnson and Mike DeVito were both back by April after tearing their Achilles (probably worse than an ACL) in September. Jamaal tore his early enough in the season that it doesn't seem likely his 2016 preparations will be affected too much.

Surgery went well & now the road to recovery begins. Thank you for all the prayers!
