It was pointed out last week from MNChiefsfan that Jaye Howard is turning into a monster, especially in the run game. Pro Football Focus released this stat that shows just how much of a monster he has become:
Jaye Howard has made a stop on 31.9% of the run plays he's been in on. The highest single season mark we've ever seen is 17.1%

Howard has plenty of motivation with it being a contract year. It's difficult to evaluate a defensive lineman on the first watch of a game but Howard has consistently flashed. I was worried about the Chiefs run defense coming into this season but Howard is a big reason why they have improved so much (3.8 yards per carry).
The key here, of course, is consistency. He has to keep doing it. The job continues this Sunday against against a good Bengals offensive line.
