The Kansas City Chiefs go on the road for the second straight week as they face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. The 1-2 Chiefs are facing their third consecutive unbeaten team as the Bengals sit at 3-0 on the season. The Chiefs are a 4-point underdog in the game, according to the latest NFL odds for Week 4.
The Chiefs need this win, obviously. Starting 1-3 would put a dent in any hopes they had about making the playoffs. It's a difficult task for the Chiefs, who come off a heartbreaking loss to the Denver Broncos two weeks ago and a Monday Night Football loss to the Green Bay Packers last week. The Chiefs need to get on the right track.
Earlier in the week before the Phillip Gaines ACL tear news came out, I picked the Chiefs to win. I am going to stick with that prediction - 24-20, Chiefs - although I don't feel confident in the pick, especially with Gaines out. The reason I pick the Chiefs is more or less blind faith: I believe they're a much better team than what we saw last week in Green Bay. (Plus, I didn't want to change my prediction after already making one earlier in the week)
The Chiefs are only a 4-point underdog on the road against a 3-0 team so someone out there believe they're still a good team. So do I. This will be a good measuring stick for the Chiefs.
