The Kansas City Chiefs lost both WR Jeremy Maclin and DE Mike DeVito to concussions in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Maclin was trying to make a catch in the flat when the defender landed on his helmet as he made his diving attempt. Maclin was down for a few minutes as trainers came out to look at him. He got up to walk off the field and didn't make it far before he had to stop and take a knee. That was a scary moment considering we are talking about his brain and not some joint. Yikes, I hope he's OK.
Appreciate the thoughts and prayers

DeVito's came on a tackle where his own teammate appeared to collide into his helmet. He hit the ground and trainers came out to tend to him. The Chiefs have defensive lineman Nick Williams to help fill in the depth with Dontari Poe already out.
Every player handles a concussion differently. They could be back this week or out for weeks. We'll see how they respond to everything this week. If Maclin can't go, the Chiefs would likely roll with Albert Wilson and Chris Conley as their top two receivers while Williams can help the Chiefs with defensive line depth.
