NFL odds Week 6: Kansas City Chiefs are only 4-point underdogs vs. Minnesota Vikings

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs were only a four-point underdog against the unbeaten Cincinnati Bengals two weeks ago and a whopping 10-point favorite against the Chicago Bears last week. If those lines seemed high to you then this week's game against the Minnesota Vikings probably will, too.

The Chiefs are sitting at a 4-point underdog in their game against the Vikings, which will be played in Minnesota. That the Chiefs are only a four-point 'dog on the road is a little surprising if you're a Chiefs fan. Because Chiefs fans believe the sky is falling on this team -- and it's hard to argue with them given the way things have gone in the past few weeks.

The Chiefs offense will be without Jamaal Charles on Sunday, and that's a scary thought given what the Chiefs did after he was lost in last week's game. That is, they did nothing. The Chiefs didn't score any points and only picked up a couple of first downs after he was hurt.

The Chiefs defense, which used to be the strength of the team, just hasn't been what we thought this season. After finishing as one of the top defenses in the league last year we thought they were poised to repeat that performance. We have been really, really wrong on that so far this year as the Chiefs are allowing 28 points per game, which is good for 29th in the NFL.

So, four points. You taking the Chiefs or not?
