Jamaal Charles has gone down in the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. Charles ran into the pile and appeared to land awkwardly and then clutched his right leg. It appeared to be a non-contact injury which is a concern. He came off the field in obvious pain. Justin Houston and the Chiefs trainer helped carry him off.

There is no update at this moment on what's wrong with Charles. The Chiefs have ruled him out for the rest of the game.
The Chiefs have Charcandrick West and Knile Davis as backups. West has gotten the backup reps in the past two weeks while Davis has been on the bench.
Obviously this is major because Charles is the key to the Chiefs offense. It would be an absolute blow if he were to miss any time at all as the Chiefs are trying to claw their way out of a 1-3 start to the season.
Jamaal tore the ACL in his left knee and missed most of the 2011 season.
The Chiefs led the Bears 17-3 and were on the verge of scoring again when Charles went down.
