The Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed that WR Kenny Cook has been added to the practice squad. In a surprise, WR Fred Williams was released from the practice squad to make room for Cook.
#Chiefs Transactions 10/1 Released from the practice squad: WR, Fred Williams Signed to the practice squad: WR, Kenny Cook

Williams was a preseason star for the Chiefs catching 15 balls for 167 yards and three touchdowns. We thought he had a shot at making the 53-man roster out of camp so to see him cut now is a bit of a surprise. We don't get to see the practice squad players during the season so we're left guessing on why Williams was released now. The Chiefs must think that Cook, who was a Chiefs UDFA this offseason, has more to offer at the moment. I'll be curious to hear more about this move (but not expecting to hear much more).
