NFL Draft order 2015: Panthers have 11 teams with better records picking ahead of them

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 NFL Draft order continues to take shape. The non-playoff teams knew their spot in the draft order right after the season ended but the playoff teams needed to wait to see the order in which they were knocked out. The final four teams in the AFC and NFC Championship rounds are competing to have the last pick in the first round (because that would mean a Super Bowl victory).

The Carolina Panthers, who made the playoffs for winning their division despite their 7-8-1 record, are currently scheduled to pick 25th. They made the playoffs and won in the Wild Card round so they're picking later. What's interesting is that there are 11 teams picking before Carolina who has a better record than them.

The Chiefs (9-7) are drafting 18th as you know. No, I don't know which position they'll be picking but we have months upon months to figure that out.
