Chiefs' Joe McKnight ruptures his Achilles days after the best game of his career

What a blow for Joe McKnight.

Brad Barr-USA TODAY Sports

The Joe McKnight comeback may be done. According to the Kansas City Chiefs, McKnight became the third Chief to rupture his Achilles tendon.

As you know with the Achilles injuries to Derrick Johnson and Mike DeVito, this is usually a season-ending injury. What a horrible break for McKnight, who was a terrific comeback story last week as he scored his first two offensive touchdowns in a 34-15 victory over the Dolphins.

After a touchdown in the Dolphins game, Andy Reid told McKnight: "You're back"

With Jamaal Charles hopefully / maybe coming back this week, the Chiefs offense can obviously survive. But McKnight was a great receiving option out of the backfield in Charles' absence last week catching six passes, including two for touchdowns.

Three, count 'em, THREE ruptured Achilles tendons in Kansas City this year.
