Those of you Chiefs fans who are based in Kansas City might be a fan of the local baseball team too. The Royals are in the midst of a pennant chase, hoping to soon quality for the playoffs for only the first time in nearly 30 years. It's just amazing to think about that.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid took a minute out of his press conference today to wish the Royals good luck.
"I'm wishing the Royals good luck here baby," Reid said. "I mean we're right there. I had a chance to watch the game last night as I was doing my work. We're pulling for you. Skipper Yost, man, we're pulling for you and your guys. And I know the whole city is."
I'm so excited to see if this team can make the playoffs. I am not a big baseball fan but this is something that's never happened in my lifetime (OK, I take that back -- I was about to turn one when they won the World Series in 1985).
Go Royals!
