If you had told me earlier this week that Eric Berry and De'Anthony Thomas would not play while Jamaal Charles has a shot of playing, I would've said you were crazy. But that's the way it's looking now. Andy Reid ruled both players out of Sunday's game in Miami.
Berry suffered an ankle sprain in last Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. His was not of the "high ankle sprain" variety like Jamaal Charles so we figured Berry would be back sooner. Apparently not. Berry has been ruled out by Reid while Charles apparently has a shot to play. When Berry went out last week, Ron Parker took his spot.

Meanwhile, DAT's NFL debut will wait yet another week. This will be the third straight game he has missed. DAT's hamstring injury first came up leading into Week 1 which caused him to miss the first two games. The Chiefs talked earlier this week as if DAT would be ready to play in Week 3 against the Dolphins but on Thursday he unexpectedly missed practice. He missed again on Friday before being ruled out by Reid, who explained that they're giving it some time and this isn't a "re-injury". Frankie Hammond will likely be returning punts in DAT's absence.
Tamba Hali was on this week's injury report but he was last week too. The Chiefs are just getting him some rest.
