The Kansas City Chiefs gave us the news expected on Jamaal Charles and Eric Berry's injured ankles while Andy Reid also gave us a positive update on De'Anthony Thomas.

Charles and Berry will not practice on Wednesday, according to Andy Reid. "We'll see how it goes the rest of the week," he said. Charles has a high ankle sprain which would make it unlikely he's going to be available this weekend in Miami. No Charles would mean more Knile Davis. Berry has a sprained ankle, too. It's not clear the severity of his or whether he has a shot of playing against the Dolphins. After Berry went out in the Denver Broncos game, he was replaced by Ron Parker.

Meanwhile, DAT will practice. "We'll ease him in but he's healthy and ready to go," Reid said on Wednesday. As you know, DAT has not played at all this season due to a hamstring injury suffered heading into Week 1. He is not only the Chiefs punt returner but could expect a role on offense with Charles' injury.

It's not so much quantity of injured players this week as the quality. The Chiefs will practice again on Thursday and Friday before Sunday's game.
