New Chief Kevin Vickerson revealed the meaning of "Omaha!" (OK, not really)

Well, he did reveal ONE of the meanings of Omaha.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Haha. OK, that was kinda funny (in a "This is a miserable week" sort of way).

The Chiefs this week signed DT Kevin Vickerson, most recently of the Denver Broncos. Vickerson was on the field in the Chiefs first meeting against the Broncos last year but injured his hip before the second game.

Reid said on Wednesday that the Chiefs were worried about the 6'5, 328-pound Vickerson in last year's meeting with the Broncos.

"He was somebody we were very concerned about last year when we played them," Reid said. "I told him when he got hurt I felt bad for him but I wasn't the saddest guy in the world because he's a substantial load and a good football player. So we welcome him in. He's coming off an injury. He went through training camp and did this thing there. Now he has an opportunity as a seasoned veteran to come in here and help this football team."

The Chiefs have a combination of Vance Walker, Jaye Howard and now Vickerson after Mike DeVito's season-ending injury last week.
