Chiefs' Jamaal Charles gets a gloves deal

Jamie Squire

Jamaal Charles has an exclusive pair of gloves to wear on the field. Yep, when you're that good, you get glove deals.

A company called Cutter Gloves sent out a press release announcing Charles has joined their team, which includes Anquan Boldin, Franke Gore and Pierre Garcon. Charles will be wearing their gloves this year, according to the release.

"While making big plays is certainly an important part of my job, there's nothing that's more important to a running back than protecting the football," Charles was quoted in the release. "Whether I'm taking handoffs or catching passes out of the backfield, Cutters and its C-TACK material give me the confidence to stay completely focused on what's in front of me, without worrying about my grip. They're simply the best gloves on the market."

Charles catches more passes than other running backs so gloves are kiiiind of important. Although I'm sure he'd do just fine with any gloves because he tends to be good at just about everything.
