The Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday decided to go with rookie kicker Cairo Santos over the veteran Ryan Succop, who has been in Kansas City since the Chiefs made him Mr. Irrelevant (last pick in the draft) in 2009. That's a long time for a kicker to be with the team so Succop's release was one of the headlines from the Chiefs 2014 roster cut down weekend.
Updating: Chiefs practice squad and waiver wire tracker
Succop took to Twitter after the news to thank Kansas City for a great five years.
